Your money will be distributed to
various organizations that will purchase supplies for soldiers in
hospitals and bases around the world.
What items will be purchased?
Toiletries, sweats, flip flops, CD
players, boots, Kevlar, phone cards, towels, washcloths, shorts, tshirts, under clothing, puzzle books, beef jerky.
What is one of the most expensive items and obstacles that the
organizations face?
Shipping and packaging is very
costly.
How much does it cost to ship a "GO BAG"?
The GO BAGS are packaged 3 to a box and the average cost to ship them (depending on location) is approximately $20 per box, including packaging supplies.
In addition to the cost of packaging and shipping, the cost of the CD Players and backpacks are quite costly and without both of them, there are no GO Bags.
What is a GO BAG?
They are emergency, or transition,
kits filled with items to help comfort a wounded service member until
they reach the next level of care, or get well enough to return to
their unit.
What are the
Four Freedom Gratitude Quilts?
The Four Freedom Gratitude Quilts are
given to injured service members to show the love and respect that we
have for our troops. Made of denim squares cut from jeans, these
squares are signed by groups and individuals and include messages of
support.
The Four Freedoms Gratitude Quilts are used to comfort and warm our wounded warriors as they move to a higher level of care and on the long cold flights from the Middle East to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany.
Who are the Michigan Military Moms?
Michigan Military Moms is a support group for moms
with sons and daughters serving in the
United States military (not to be confused with Moms serving in the
military).
